Sigursteinn Másson

An Icelandic investigative journalist who has been doing crime documentaries for 30 years, winning Storytel & the Edda film awards. He has investigated over 70 Icelandic crime cases and in Black Ice he reveals the hidden aspects of them as well as covering new crime cases.

Sigursteinn worked as a TV journalist at Channel 2 TV in Iceland and made a documentary film about Icelands most famous miscarriage of justice case.

Björgvin Thor, who was called the most dangerous criminal of Iceland, said he could not believe he would break into a house, threaten a woman to kill her two sons and then rape her violently. Yet a Couple months later he showed he could commit a violent crime and was about to do it again.
