We introduce our hosts, Sigursteinn Masson, an investigative journalist with extensive experience investigating crime in Iceland. Sigursteinn Másson
An Icelandic investigative journalist who has been doing crime documentaries for 30 years, winning Storytel & the Edda film awards. He has investigated over 70 Icelandic crime cases and in Black Ice he reveals the hidden aspects of them as well as covering new crime cases.
Sigursteinn worked as a TV journalist at Channel 2 TV in Iceland and made a documentary film about Icelands most famous miscarriage of justice case.

Byron Russell
A true crime enthusiast with a passion for seeking the truth in the crimes, here to ask the questions the listeners are thinking bringing them closer to the action. With a background in finance and fraud investigation, it runs deep in his blood to find the answers.

Katina productions, previously Veritas productions was founded in Iceland 1996. From the start the company has produced documentary films for TV and continues to do so. While Katinas main focus is on producing audiovisual material it is looking into expanding into other areas of multi-media.
Now Katina is producing podcasts under the name Black Ice where Sigursteinn Másson, the founder and owner of Katina, and Byron Russell a true crime enthusiast discuss various true crime cases Sigursteinn has investigated as both a journalist and a documentary maker.
